Auxiliarist of the year for 2009 was awarded to James Martin based on outstanding attendance record and band public performances, outstanding rehearsal attendance, solid anchor playing, and qualifying for crew in 2009.

The Flotilla Commanders award for 2009 was presented to Tom Butterfield based on excellent  attendance at band public performances, excellent rehearsal attendance, taps playing and qualified as a Program Visitor in 2009.

The Band also that night celebrated the submittal of two new membership applications, Dean Failey, husband of member Marie Failey and Patrica Catalano (not present).  Dean Failey is seen having a grand time with James Martin, Auxiliarist of the year.
